Dr. Gerardo Guillen-Rivera has perfected his skills in the fields of dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery for more than 20 years and possesses an exceptional scope of the modalities, pathologies and procedures therein. He has been providing high quality oral health care to the El Paso region for 4 years. He holds advanced degrees in dentistry science, as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery. Additionally, Dr. Guillen holds a Fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery.

Although Dr. Guillen has roots in Maracaibo, Venezuela, he, his wife and two children now call El Paso home. He’s established his private practice, Prestige Oral and Facial Surgery Center, where he and his knowledgeable staff address the needs of a wide variety of patients. Prestige is a full-service facility furnished with state-of-the-art oral and maxillofacial equipment, and full staff. Dr. Guillen is a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and has been recognized for his safe and effective patient care.

Dr. Guillen holds the prestigious Jesus Enrique Lossada— This is a recognition granted by the University of Zulia in Venezuela to its best teachers in relation to their academic and scientific performance Other professional achievements include memberships in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Texas Dental Association, El Paso Dental Society, American Dental Association, College of Dentists of Venezuela and more. His professional experience ranges from a full professorship at the University of University of Zulia at Maracaibo. Venezuela from 1997 to 2015, as well as private practices in Venezuela and El Paso. Dr. Guillen has authored and co-authored several reports and articles on various oral and maxillofacial conditions and pathologies.

Although his native tongue is Spanish, Dr. Guillen is fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English. He is proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software and has a good working knowledge of DSN software.

Dr. Guillen knows the value of balancing work with play and his hobbies include reading, playing basketball, working out, going to the movies and spending time with his family.
